How to Take Your Measurements?

If you're buying a leather jacket online, it's important to know your exact body measurements to get the right fit. You can use a soft measuring tape and compare it with a jacket you already own. Keep the tape firm but not too tight, and don't let it hang loosely. Here's how you can take each measurement step by step:

Length: Place the tape at the bottom of the collar and measure down to the waistline or where the jacket usually ends.

Shoulders: Measure straight across the back, from the top of one sleeve seam to the other.

Chest: Wrap the tape around the widest part of your chest. Make sure it goes evenly around under your arms and across your back. Start about 1 inch below the armhole.

Sleeves: Start measuring from the top of your shoulder and run the measuring tape straight down to your wrist. It's best to have someone help you to get an accurate measurement.

How Should a Leather Jacket Fit?

Leather jackets fit a little differently than other coats. That’s because leather stretches and shapes to your body over time. A good fit from the start will feel snug but not tight, and should allow you to move easily. Here's what you should look for:

Chest Fit: A leather jacket should fit close to your chest but still leave space for a t-shirt or sweater.

• If you wear light layers, add 2 to 3 inches to your chest size.
• If you wear heavy layers, add 3 to 4 inches.
